Today we went out with water colours again. I went to the cathedral and looked at the gravestones. The first painting i did ended up looking fairly similar , colour wise, to the painting i did at abby park last week. It was a different day, different weather, different place, different subject. But, my images still looked the same, which suggests I'm doing something wrong.
Looking at the same gravestones again, I painted thinking more about the colour that was in front of me, and not just what was easily available in my colour palette. Its not amazing, but at least its getting better, The colours used are much more harmonious than those used in the first painting.
